Hi all,

I know I read this fic ages ago but don't remember where, the name of it, or by whom it was written. What I recall is that Ianto was immortal though I don't recall how it happened. He and Jack I believe where still in Wales and lived by the ocean. I think Ianto was around 90 years old and he and Jack had two grown children (boy and girl), also they had a grown grandaughter who I believe was their daughter's child. The grandaughter, if I remember correctly was doing a story about Ianto or Jack or maybe both regarding their life together. What is sticking out in my memory was that Ianto had a falling out with their son because as his son got older, Ianto found he was starting to have inappropriate thoughts about him because he was a good looking man. Ianto distanced himself from him and the son (who I think is in his early 40's in the fic) never quite understood and thought Ianto didn't really love him or was disappointed in him. It was like a character study of Jack and Ianto's life with their family told to the grandaughter for her story she was writing. Oh, and I THINK the author posted photos of people to show what the children and grandaughter looked like. Does this sound familiar to anyone or am just imagining that this fic exists? I appreciate the help!!

Thanks,
Lori :-)

EDIT: Found quickly by lowho :-)  It's Tepus Fugit by lawford. http://lawford.livejournal.com/tag/tempus%20fugit FYI-Journal is F-locked.

Oh yes, you are so right!! Funny, because I just started to read through lawford's fics and I guess I must've read this one ages ago without realizing it was on lawford's masterlist. Thanks so much, it was driving me bonkers :-)

I've read her stuff before, and this post reminded me of a story I had got halfway through a few weeks ago. Anyhow looks like she has decided to flock her journal, so just to warn people who might try and read it via this link, it doesn't work. Unless you bother to friend I guess. I never really understand when people do this, especially as there's no clear reason there, so I will just have to miss out!

Yeah, lawford just flocked the journal. I friended her/him and asked if I could be friended in return so I could read the fics and she/he was very nice about it. The fics are wonderful so it was worth the wait to be friended back :-)

I had no idea she has flocked her LJ until you pointed that out. It sucks when people do that. *sad face* I'll try my luck and friend her later.

I've found most people cross post to Archive of our Own or FF.net, or Dreamwidth, so I think that's fine as I will just read their stuff there. Also I think it's good if there's a note on their LJ about what the problem is, like if they have an issue of some sort with LJ. Anyhow otherwise, I have no problem living without reading it. I read too much fan fiction in my life anyhow, won't do me any harm to read less of it! I think authors can do what they like, take it down or make it private if they want, it's up to them, but I agree it can be a shame if you are half way through reading a WIP or something.
